    Responsibilities

    ABOUT THE JOB:

    Located throughout the Twin Cities Metro, our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are key players in the quality of care we offer. Success in this role comes through building meaningful long-term relationships with those we serve.     Our DSP's serve individuals with a combination of high or low behaviors, high or low medical needs, and high or low functioning individuals in a variety of ways, which may include:

     

    • Supporting individuals with daily needs
    • Administering medications
    • Cooking and housework
    • Transportation to appointments and community events

     

    While we don’t require previous experience as a DSP, we do strongly prefer professional or personal experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. 

     

    Compensation ranges from $11.50-$13.50 per hour for daytime depending on location and $10.00 for overnights.

     

     

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    To be considered for a DSP position with us, you must:

     

    • Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and daily access to a reliable vehicle
    • Hold an acceptable driving record
    • Have availability of a minimum of 10 hours per week
    • Be able to work one or more of the following shifts:
      • Evenings 2pm-10pm
      • Overnights 10pm-o/n-9am
      • Weekends 
    • Possess strong communication skills
    • Be able to pass a DHS and nationwide criminal background check
